    LaRue Tactical B.U.I.S. QD LT-103

Anyone use this? Being that it's Larue, I assume it's good to go, but wanted to hear some first hand thoughts.

I'm thinking of picking one up for my next purchase.

I have one on my 10.5" LMT. It's a great sight: simple, sleek, low-profile and lightweight. It's about as bomb-proof (and idiot-proof ) as a fixed BUIS could get, and the quality is typically top-notch LaRue. Since I've always liked the simplicity of A1 sights, I like the LaRue BUIS a lot. I usually run mine behind an Aimpoint T-1, and I have no complaints. I'm not sure what else there is to say.

I have one on one of my 6933s. I like it for what it is, which is the least expensive BUIS I could find outside of chopping the carry handle. However, and this is something I didn't notice until recently, it's $25 more for a same-plane aperture if this matters to you. That makes it a $115 sight and is starting to push it in terms of price IMHO.

The only benefits I think it has over chopping the carry handle is a possible lighter weight (will have to compare them) and lower profile, and some will prefer the lever to the screw.

    Chopped carry handle.

I'd think losing the unnecessary windage and elevation adjustments prone to bumping would be a plus too?

I hear about this "prone to bumping" issue all the time, and think it's a non-starter.

Even if it did get bumped, it's going to be a couple of clicks at most, and it's called a "back up" iron sight for a reason. It's an "oh shit" tool.

Either way, the chopped carry handle is an option for some; free plus an hour of your time vs. $100. For some people that's the deciding factor right there.

i don't think its prone to bumping...that's never happened to me, stays on 6/3 or 8/3 flush, but for most applications the elevation knob is unnecessary, adds bulk and is something else to break

i like the LT BUIS a lot

During periodic weapon inspections, the cased rifles that live and bounce around in trunks will sometimes have their knobs adjusted. Like Rob said, though, it's only a click or three off the witness mark. (And usually, it's those living in lesser cases.)

The knob isn't as prone to bumping as prone to fiddling by idle hands, or grabassing.

The LMT is a quality BUIS, but the thread and parts counts are higher than alternatives. Unless the windage knob is a requirement, I don't think there's anything to to give the LMT the nod over the LT. I buy accordingly.

I used mine for the first time this past weekend. It's a nice piece, that's more simplistic than carry handles. Easily adjusts windage with a quarter, and has noticeable "clicks" as you turn it. For the price and quality its hard to beat.

I think it is a great BUIS for a gun that doesn't need elevation/deflection adjustments (but still be sure to witness mark it).
Perfect for 11" type guns if you like a fixed BUIS.
