Yes, Ruger took care of it. Had to send the whole damn rifle in though. I asked why, and was told for test fire and inspection.

That's good they checked it over and testfired it. How's the staking look now?

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

It's looks gtg. I'm still going to use a BCM bcg in the rifle though, and keep this one around as a spare.

Too bad Ruger's not using a more "modern" bolt carrier in these guns. As far as I know they're the only manufacturer still using the Colt cut.

This is the main reason why I just recently bought a PSA Premium BCG, less the logo. And, I really could feel a difference in the way it shoots now.

I installed a H2 buffer and a BCM Comp 0 on mine last week. Amazing difference. Very nice shooter now.

Thanks to the OP and others for comments and impressions on this carbine.

It is currently available at $449 shipped. At that price I felt that it would be a good buy as a beater AR. I've seen some pretty shitty ones sell for hundreds more so as long as it functions properly I will feel like I am getting my money's worth.

Wow! Who has them for that price? Even a cheap kit from Model 1 is more money than that.

I figure Ruger produced thousands of these late last year assuming Hillary would win. Now they are dumping a warehouse full of them. Too good to pass up, for me anyway.

$449 on the index page but $591 on detail page. $591 if you put it in the cart. BS!!
