Tried contacting Colt and a dealer I have a preorder with, and neither had any real, tangible information.

One 'rumor' I've heard is to expect to see these become available in the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Does anyone have any info on when these will surface?

    Apparently they are out:

Lower looks like shit. Poorly done re-profile job of an A2 forging.

Also got the model name nomenclature wrong on the box label. Says M-16 A1, should be M16A1.

The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire. The former are idealists acting from highest motives for the greatest good of the greatest number. The latter are surly curmudgeons, suspicious and lacking in altruism. But they are more comfortable neighbors than the other sort. "

The Market is exploding with other Mfgrs. going the Brownell's route , the Repop parts (Furniture/grip , No Tic Selectors , Flat Slip Rings , A1 rear sight parts , A1 port doors , Aluminum CAR stocks , two pos Buffer Tubes , and even Grenade Rings and Comp/Moderators … its sad but the Original Parts are drying up and the easy way is the Repro way .

As I've posted elsewhere, the Brownell M16A1 is now on sale for $899.

Got my XM16E1 for $829 from Brownells, lot cheaper than any “colt” retro that is for sure.
