    I'm looking too for a near future build I have in mind.
    Any one on here have experience with one of these?

    In fairness I think John specs his out a little bit custom. Might drop him or SWS an email to see what they do different for him.

    Heck, he's just up the road (90 miles) from me. Might have to just drop by next time I've got a job in that area.

    FWIW, even with the stock parts it retains, AND adding in a QD swivel, the DD Omega even weighs less than the Larue. Inconsequentially less, but less all the same.

    Could the weight difference slow you down? Quicker fatigue? Could you say the weight difference is equal to maybe two bullets?

    Talking larue

    ive got the 7.0 larue rail and couldnt ask for a better piece of kit. this is my first build, so i have no experience with the others.

    I like the shape and size of the LaRue rails better. I have a 7", 9", 11" and another 7" on order just to clarify I've only had the DD Omega but did not care for the shape.

    Every now and then I get the urge to pick up some tools and buy a 1-piece FF handguard. You're comment reminded me that diameter and shape affects, or should affect, a part in our choice. At least it's a concern of mine. I'd like something similar in size to my normal handguards.
