Cannot go wrong with Klarus XT series:

    http://www.klaruslight.com/index.php...ists&catid=128

Klarus XT11 - Simple, reliable, best UI out there

Klarus XT11GT - If you want the UI but something a little more fancy

.....or an Eagletac modded from Vinh...simply untouchable.

I use these Ultrafire XM-L flashlights at work, cheap enough to leave spares everywhere. Takes rechargeable batteries, I can usually get about 2 months of intermittent use working nights before I need to swap batteries (or flashlights if theyre readily available.) They fit great in a MK4 OC pouch too.

I use Streamlight for most of my lighting needs. I can't remember how long I've had my TLR-1 but its been great. I've had my Ultra Stinger for probably 12 years and have carried it on duty for about 10 and I have no complaints about that either. I also keep a Polytac in my vest and I really like that light as well, though I originally acquired it for use on a rifle and the spring was just too weak on it. I have and Arisaka/Malkoff/Surefire M300ish on my rifle now and I really like that one as well.

What I wish someone would make is a 100 or more lumen light that uses two AAAs, throws out to 25 yards, has a tail switch and has ONE GODDAMN setting.

Something like this? It has 2 possible settings but you pre select it, so I think you should be alright with it.

I want an Elzetta Bravo sized light, that is rechargeable or takes CR123s. So basically I want an Elzetta that is sent to Precision Works but I want it off the shelf. It would be a perfect light to have a couple of. Throw them on long guns or on your belt and they all take the same batteries with Elzettas great switchology options and changeable heads.
I think Elzetta could be Surefires downfall if only their prices were a little bit lower and their outputs were a little bit higher.

I really thought Inforces WML was gonna be fantastic. I think of they sold their switchology to Surefire or Elzetta or even perfected their own lights it would be a real winner.

My EDC used to be an original (~200 lumen?) Surefire E2DL.

Now, I rock a Coast HP1 with a Nitecore 14500 Li-Ion battery (which can be swapped with a AA if needed). It's got 200 lumens, adjustable flood-spot focus, good throw and (most importantly) doesn't require CR123 batteries.

My weapon lights are all old school X300s and Surefire G2 LED models. Eventually I'll update to Scout and X300U lights. I'm looking to try out a Streamlight TLR-1 HL here soon and the dual fuel Protac models have me intrigued. I tried an XC-1 when they came out and just didn't like the switching setup.

I really hope that someone is working on a X300/TLR-1 form factor lights that take AA or 14500 batteries with a 400-500 lumen output.

Yeah, that might just be the one, I can live with it being in max output when the head is tightened down as I would want it anyway. Do you happen to own one? If so, how is the throw?

I do not own one, although I do own Eagletac lights. I prefer a single CR123 or a single AA which can use a 14500 cell. Much brighter and longer lasting. Eagletac lights are quality stuff. Here is an old but in depth review if you want to look at it.

If you don't mind the slight difference in diameter of the comparable AA model, you will get longer run times, lumen output and throw in a comparable size light. The Eagletac P20A2 MKII has replaceable led modules (including IR and UV) that will get you up to 453 lumens with 130 yards of throw. If I had extra cash to blow, this would be on the list.
