What do they have to offer over available KAC, LMT, HK, FN, plus a possible few other offerings?

2. Personal interaction and customer service. These two items still mean a lot to people. Most of us on this forum have seen how kyle and mike have interacted positively with this community. Hell, all of us have access to their cell numbers and emails.
3. Customization. They will build you exactly what you want. Huge selling point.
4. New guys on the block have something to prove. If their quality wasn't or isn't up to snuff with those companies mentioned above, then their product will fail. Im betting they are exceptional quality that might just surpass the big boys.

None of those are actually selling points over the KAC, LMT, HK, or FN. Buy once, cry once. Spend your money on a known entity that is well vetted; don't gamble on an unproven rifle from a company with no track record. Do they manufacture in house? I'm guessing they do not. So then whose parts are they using. I'm not denigrating SOLGW, they may be great. But they are unproven. You can find a used MWS for around $2500. It's a proven, reliable, accurate rifle from a solidly established company.

How are price and customization not selling points? In most markets those are very important considerations. SOLGW has some good people working with them and are building a good reputation. It is a risk to go with them over a known quantity like LMT, BCM etc but not a huge gamble. The purpose of the rifle would inform the decision a lot. If it is going to be a life saving weapon like an LEO sniper I can see playing it very safe with a known dealer. For a training or hunting rifle SOLGW would be a safe gamble.
I am potentially biased as I just bought a 5.56 upper from them. I picked them for the reasons above. Good people have tested their 5.56 offerings and found them to be good, the price was good and I was able to configure the upper exactly like I wanted it. It has ran fine in my few hundred test rounds and checked of the big QC boxes (gas key staking, springs, stiff free float rail, etc) for an upper.

With the 16" LW barrel, the MWS is pretty close in weight to a SR25. Without optic and with a Magpul CTR it's about 8.75 lbs, 9lbs with SOPMOD. For reference, the KAC APC is listed at 9 lbs and the ACC is 8.4 lbs.

I would rather have the M-Lok ACC v the slick side MWS.
Honestly, I think we are very fortunate to have both available.

The SOLGW is based off of the DPMS LR308 pattern which is inferior to both the SR-25 pattern and Armalite Illinois pattern.
The KAC/LMT have all of the kinks worked out of them.
The SOLGW rifles is cheaper. That isn't because SOLGW is doing you a favor. You get what you pay for.

Origianlly I pick up a Scar 17, but after reading about the LMT I made the switch. My first step with the LMT was to install a 6.5CM stainless barrel. Even the first range trip I was able to stretch it out to a 1000 yards. My gunsmith has been building AR since the 70's was impressed with LMT build quality. I have no regrets buying with mine, it does everything I want it to do.
