Once that 6933 is in your hand, the cost & wait pain will be a faded memory.

Congrats on your purchase & welcome to the cool guys club.

My tax was $200. Passport photos at Walgreens for like $15. Police station finger prints free. Filed myself the old fashioned way...by mail

Not this time. We sat down with the dealer, filled out the forms, did the fingerprints and photos and wrote a check for the $200 Sin Tax. Then, we paid the dealer the expected transfer fee. Good. Done. No, not done. There was an additional fee for the fingerprints, photos and extra paperwork because of the new rules, including the courtesy form that needs to be sent to the local CLEO. All in all, it was an additional $200. That "just $200 more" became $400. My $1100 rifle has now set me back over $1500. Almost twice what the AR pistol cost me to build. (To be fair, I did pay a bit of a premium for My Little Pony, but I feel it was worth it).
When I have looked at the costs and general nonsense to get a few inches off the barrel of my AR (and God forbid you wanna add a can!) it just didn't add up to me. I ca see why people want an SBR, can, etc, but to date, I can't justify for me other than "I just want one." Obviously, we shouldn't have to pay jack shit extra for a shorter AR, and that too, stick in my craw.

I wish they'd bring back the 6921, this time with the SOCOM profile barrel.

Thats what I want, but I can always buy a 6933 and sell the upper for the one I want.
