GP Recce style. Some informal 3-Gun matches, 0-500M work, some suppressed shooting here and there.

I forgot to consider it would be run suppressed. Thanks for the answers.

Which Gen e-carrier didn't get my attention (though I did take note that it wasn't a newer gen) near as much as the presence of the e-carrier being used at all. My set up will be plain:
Vltor MUR, Optimized barrel, military spec BCG, alg rail 13" v3 rail, mil spec FCG, and Vltor A5 system. I need it to be capable of running with PMC Bronze as a lowest common denominator ammo, and I'm willing to drop the buffer weight to do it. If anyone is willing to test a similar set up for function, I'd be happy to provide the ammo. That would save me some trouble if I knew prior to assembly that I'll need the gas port opened up a hair. Clint is willing to open it up some, but I'd have to know if it's needed first.

It would also help start a pool of data for other shooters who might be likely to use the same ammo, but are unsure if the barrel will work for them.

I would rock the std gas port. I don't think you'll have an issue with the lighter A5 buffers.

The Optimum porting should run 5.56 with the standard A5H2 buffer and regular .223 with a lighter (A5H1/A5H0) buffer.

PMC Bronze seems weaker than regular .223 and will most likely need the port bumped up to run well, pending testing, of course.|

Does this barrel have an accuracy guarantee? 1MOA or better?

Few things in life are guaranteed.

Given the variety of external factors involved that are beyond our control, we feel it is unrealistic to absolutely guarantee something as complex as accuracy.

That said, we do offer the expectation of MOA performance, provided the numerous other variables such as shooter, ammo and assembly are up to the task.

As always, if you are not satisfied with any of our products, let us know and we'll take care of it.

I would dare say that, if your setup isn't shooting at or near MOA with known quality ammo, then something is amiss.

This has all the makings of an excellent shooter.

These days, people expect MOA with ball Surplus ammo. If I were a manufacturer, there's no way I'd advertise an MOA guarantee.

As nice as that would be, not even match grade barrel makers like Krieger, Bartlien, etc guarantee accuracy on their barrels. Too many variables to account for that are out of their control when it comes to chambering, head spacing, and most importantly assembly. Even on a complete AR barrel with a matched bolt that is pre-head spaced, the final assembly needs to be done carefully and correctly to attain best accuracy. Expecting a barrel maker to account for all the gunsmithing hall of shame recipients is not fair or realistic.

If you take a moment to consider it, most weapons that have an accuracy guarantee are carefully assembled by professionals who are going to back up that promise on a complete weapon... not just one component of the weapon.
