    1911 Purchase (joined the club)

Well....My fever boiled up again in the past few weeks.

Today, I was able to make it subside some after I purchased this!

    (Stock photo)

Walked into SGC (Scottsdale Gun Club) and they had some "Dealer Samples". This was the last one (apparently the rest sold in the past few days).

    S&W 1911 SS
    Novak sights
Box, Paperwork, Sample casing (built 10-2006)

    $399

    How did I do?

I also will need more mags (only came with one).

Congrats on your new S&W . I bought my Nighthawk Vickers Recon from SCG they were ok to deal with.

    Damn,
Don't know a whole lot about that gun, but it looks like it was a steal!
    Good job.

Wow, that is a heck of a deal! I ran a S&W .45 for a while, and really liked it. It was very reliable. Best of luck with yours, I think you did very well!

Was this pistol used for actual shooting demonstrations... or just to pass around and examine?

If it has not been fired... then you got yourself a fantastic deal.

Gun has been shot (dirty). Not sure how many rounds (cleaned very easily).

Does show some handling marks on it (shiny spots on matte stainless).

Still am pleased with my find...

You did very well. I am not a fan of the firing pin safety and the external extractor but that's just because I am more of a purist. For $399 it would be sitting in my safe.
