Guys there is printing/binding high quality prints, costs of photography for said prints, graphic/layout design, travel expenses, SMEs, blah blah.

It's not like someone wrote a post on blogger.

Pretty sure this shelf is the equivalent of one AR-15.

It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

I think we understand that completely, but I can buy 3 boxes of diapers for the price of that one book. Great book I am sure.

LAV has access to "moon rocks" the likes of myself will NEVER be able to handle, much less shoot or own.

His work is superb and what really got me hooked on this book (been following the progress via Instagram) was the reproduction of the Colt 723 that he used during Operation Acid Gambit and again hunting SCUDs in IZ during Operation Desert Storm. These rare glimpses into highly modified carbines combined with the uber rare Eugene Stoner collection at Knight's was worth it for me.

I'm not a 1911 guy so I skipped that one but will get Vol. II of the AR-15 guide when available. I never really spend money anymore so this is a guilty pleasure for me. True gun porn for gun geeks.

That is quite a library, Steyr.

Not hating and would love to read it but if it were not a "hurry up and buy" deal where I could wait....I'd get both volumes and the 1911 one.

I got Sweeney's 1911 book and it was interesting.

It's just a rough time of year for purchases. I got to see the Hollywood AR10 at the Infantry Museum and would love to read up on the Sudanese and Dutch models

This was a non brainer for me, I've definitely spent more for books on more eclectic and less significant military subjects. I get people telling me all the time books are obsolete, a waste of time and the web has it all.... but once you really dig for details and pics or spend the time sifting through tons of other random folks mostly useless blather on a given subject you'll see how lacking the web can be not to mention time consuming. Most of those people oddly look to me for answers on such topics instead of google. The irony totally lost on them lol
