Got mine a week or so ago. I honestly didnt know what to expect as far as content. It not a technical treatise but more a guided visual tour of the AR10 and AR15, from their technical forerunners up to but not including the M4. In very large clear color photos that are about as good as it gets without the uncommon fortune of handling the rifles themselves. Very detailed and insightful narration from several well known experts. Im really glad I sprung for this, eagerly awaiting vol.2!

I received my signed copy today. Processing and CS was all we wish every transaction would be. Others can give critique of the content. I wanted to take a moment to address the quality of the publication itself.
First, I am a printer by trade and working at the highest level of commercial printing for 40 years.
I want to applaud Mr. Vickers and company for a highest quality publication. There's no expense spared in the quality of the paper, the photography, the color reproduction, registration, print quality, binding, and finishing. I could find no flaws throughout and trust me here, I have a keen eye for that detail.
So for those that may have issue with the price, I can assure you that this book has that value built in. I am willing to bet the profit margin on this book is not great. This level of quality printing is hideously expensive. The limited number of books printed has an effect on that price.
This is indeed a presentation quality book every bit worth the price.

Mine arrived today. Met the FedEx guy as I was leaving to go to Home Depot. Quick shipping. Unfortunately it is a Christmas present so I have to wait.

    Man, that is self discipline.

    I'm impressed.

    Larry,

Thank you so much for putting this together. My wife got me a signed copy for Christmas and I am blown away with the quality, the pictures and most of all the journey. Thank you for putting the work in. These are heirloom quality books that will be past down from generation to generation.

Last year, It was my brother that got the 1911 book for Christmas and unfortunately I didnt get one for myself.

Anyone reading this thread, go buy this book - you will not be disappointed!

Thank you again Larry and Merry Christmass to your and your family!

This AR volume one is going to be the template for future VickersGuide books

We plan on reprinting the 1911 book in 2017

I wouldn't wait to buy an AR-15 volume one if you want one - we printed twice as many as we did the 1911 book but they are selling at a rate far beyond the first book

We plan reprints but that is a time consuming costly process- my advice is if you want it buy it now and don't Wait

Thanx for all your compliments and if you want to order go to www.vickersguide.com

    Be safe -LAV out
You guys knocked this one out of the park LAV, can't wait for Vol. II.

Hah, that's awesome. I plucked it from Facebook during the election.

If you right click and save the image I'm sure websites like cafepress and the like could make you some bumper stickers up.

Any chance of a second printing of the Vickers Guide: AR-15 (Vol. I)? Please.

I just ordered AR 15 (Vol. II), the 1911 book, and preordered the Kalashnikov book.
