Correctly means a barrel that is dimpled properly (stripped DD barrels are usually not), proper gas block fitment, Loctite on the set screws, etc...

This gas block is bombproof: https://geissele.com/super-gas-block.html

Follow these instructions: https://d3cfki0l5o2ps6.cloudfront.ne...s-block-ai.pdf (which will, of course, be included)

Use the 'Easy and Secure Installation' - I've installed 6+ this way and haven't had an issue. I bought my first one with an ALG Rail just to save the hassle of ordering from another vendor. Glad I did, simple easy to install, good quality product as you might expect from Geissele.

I have this 10.5 on my SBR (which started as a pistol) http://www.gmriflebarrel.com/gm-m26-...56mm-nato-1-7/

It don't have a marque name, but all these boys do is make barrels - including for other manufacturers. As I mentioned, I have the barrel in my SBR, it shoots good, and ejects on the money if you are into the whole ejection angle thingy. I do have a LAW folding adapter on the SBR so the BCG does have the LAW extension plugged into the rear of the BCG. I use a standard carbine spring and an H1 buffer FWIW.

It is fun to put them together, jump in.

    26,

On that 10.5 barrel did it come dimpled for the gas block and do you recall what the port size was?

Was not dimpled - I dimple my own per the Geissele instructions. Port is big, .087 according to them. Mine isn't over gassed BUT I have whatever weight the LAW extension adds to the BCG and my suppressor is in jail so it is unsuppressed at this time. I am running an Iron Pig looking Krinkov flash suppressor.

Thanks for the response. Will that GB fit under a slimmer rail? I'm looking at the Fortis Rev 2.0 and SLR Ion.

Can't say for sure with the Fortis but it will not fit under most slim rails.

    Edited to add:

Just looked it up and the Fortis Rev II ID is 1.34". It will not fit without contact as I've tried the Super Gas Block on an NSR with an ID of 1.35" and it made contact. When compared with a true low profile gas block the differences are obvious.

It should the ID's of both are a little smaller than the ALG Rails I use, but the rail on top should provided clearance. It is a low profile gas block.

BTW have you looked at the ALG Defense rails? A little less pricey and I think the attachment is more secure than the SLR Ion, not sure about the Fortis, I didn't pay attention when I checked the ID.

ETA: It looks as if 556BlackRifle has direct experience with a rail it wouldn't fir under, I'll defer to him.

Here is the cross section of the rail I was refering to -
