Board policy mandates I state that I shoot for BCM. I have also done work for 200 or so manufacturers within the firearm community. I am prior service, a full time LEO, firearm instructor, armorer, TL, martial arts instructor, and all around good guy.

I also shoot and write for various publications. Let me know if you know cool secrets or have toys worthy of an article...

Do "design concept" pics count, or does it have to be complete?

Thirty pounds of 007 Movie fun for the range... still needs a scope/mount, and a frontend for the 6" barrel. Also need to dig out the spare 1913 couplers so I can attach the barrel on top of the receiver when in "rifle takedown" mode. Stick, I'm gonna ask your indulgence on multiple pics because of the nature of this as a complete "Modular Weapons System/Range Trip In A Briefcase" project. For the curious, it weighs about 30lbs with a thousand rounds of .22LR... (Actually, 999, the 1k Winchester M22 alue pack at Walmart stiffed me ONE.)

    Everything tucked in

    Mags and tools

10" barrel and rear sling-mount racked; 6" barrel below and 16" barrel and stock above. (The rear slingmount is intended to make it UNABLE to mount the stock in pistol mode; IE it only comes off once the 16" barrel is on.) NOTE: This started life as a Charger pistol reeiver, so it can legally go pistol-to-rifle-and-back. Try this with a 10/22 rifle and Camp PMITA Here You Come... I had to go to a Charger teardown shop because Brownells was frankly sucking ass at keeping Takedown BRN22 virgin receivers in stock at "GO NOW" time.

Showing OAL folded for the benefit of the Jackbooted Jackoffs and their leghumpers... it BARELY gets above 26, but it gets there!

Note the Lawyer Lettering on the stock, again for the benefit of Jackboots and their hall-monitor Knobgobblers. "MIN BBL 16IN"--can I make it any CLEARER short of taking the stock and clubbing somebody over the head with it?

Lessons learned: While the SOPMOD LOOKS sexy and sci-fi futuristic like something Q Branch would use, if I REALLY had to build 007 a 10/22 I'd use a regular M4 wafflestock, an N1 or something similarly "skinny"--the SOPMOD's "saddlebag" pockets prevent a completely parallel sidefold. (Really, though, if I was building a briefcase-hitter for a Double-O, I'd just hand them an ASDW, lightly tune it up with an optic and maybe laser, and call it a day. This is meant for a day of "spy-movie fantasy" fun on the range, not for serious use.)
