    Boot BUG

I wear cowboy boots basically 95% of the time. Most comfortable and longest lasting footwear I've ever had. Going on 8 years of daily wear with the current pair.

Been thinking about a pistol that I can clip at the top of my boot as a BUG, or really more like a "last resort" type of weapon given that unrest seems more and more prevalent. Why carry one or two guns when you can carry two or three....

Current top contenders are either a Kel-tec P32 or a North American Black Widow mini revolver in .22 mag, with more lean towards the P32. Both really compact and < 10 oz loaded.

Anybody have any other contenders or suggestions?

I carried a Smith model 60, in an ankle holster, for several years inside my "police" pull on boots. There were numerous times I had to check to make sure it was still there.

I keep coming back to J frames too. Like you say, Being a bit heavier it would be more of a ankle holster in the boot rather than on the boot itself. Could probably get a used 642 for a song if I look around

I dont do anything ankle. I saw a dude chasimg a trackstar and his revolver started going "clank clank clank" as he was a running. Someone else had to find his gun.

I have a Baby Browning style gun that is more conversation piece than carry.

I personally prefer everything at waist level or higher. If you need more than two guns, you need friends.

Look at the BHD guys. They were holed up in a Blackhawk with mags and guns strewn about but if you get swarmed that bad.....know Jesus.

I used to wear a Glock 26 above (and sometimes sitting in) my work boots for awhile. Riding in a Galco ankle glove. I am going back to that setup soon again. I prefer wearing that over boots, because it tends to rub less on my ankle bone because it sits higher. My role is a primary carry at work, because it's the only way I can carry at work without anyone knowing, unless it's winter. YMMV.

More concerned with primary going non functional than anything else. Any mechanical device can fail at any time...
