Folks will argue all day long about something as trivial as whether or not a barrel is chrome lined or melonited, but have nothing but mockery when someone wants to explore springs? Springs are much more important to the function of any firearm than what a bore is or is not lined with. Springs are the heart of an AR.

For myself, I'm very interested in the findings

This will be my final contribution to this thread...so indulge me.

This is the third attempt you've made at this subject. We've now seen you argue with big-name industry professionals, and ambiguously call out a leading manufacturer for, in your mind, running a con on all us poor uneducated folks who just can't figure it out. Just for money. Then, we find out your vast knowledge is from your 23 long years on this planet. And now this thread comes along and you want us to break out our dumbbells and use them to...well, I'm still not sure what.

Any thread of yours going forward will have these results, bro. You've lost ALL credibility at this point.

I ignored the first two threads... until I noticed the second one was again locked.. I can't believe this account is allowed to continue here. Mods are getting soft.

I was expecting something along road of week or two for post or two of actual data and few posts like "I got green springco in my a5 system, I wont get back home from work until next week and then I will find those data" or "Interested in finding this out too! *monitoring thread" or something.

But instead I got multiple guy posting off topic picture that doesnt indicate that they are willing to contribute seemly implied nothing but that they won't due to... Perhaps... Their inability to overcome personal feeling toward me to be helpful for something I have say of company that they are emotionally invested in and in a way insulting them (wasnt my intention but it wouldn't stop me from saying it).

Popping open upper and pop out buffer+buffer spring is hardly taking apart of rifle. What gymnastic? Take buffer+buffer spring out and finding preload and bottomed out data on scale is hardly gymnastic. Maybe you are talking about dumbbell thing now that would be fair but thats only one of the way to work around limitation of your scale if it interfere with simple straightforward method.

How long would it take? Well it didnt take me more than 30min to find out preload for red springco and gi spring in carbine buffer tube and I took my time looking for the scale and gi spring in clear tube that springco red came in.

Do you understand the concept of a controlled test ?
Every one would have to test in the same exact manner using the same equipment or else the results are not controlled.
Therefor the data cannot be used.
We could all come close but what is the point.
If the results are not accurate then there is no purpose.
