I'll post a better pic, its just curved blade.

A friend suggested if I were to show a budget hatchet I should at least clean it and dress it up a bit. Fair enough.

This is after I hand scraped the handle and applied a coat of boiled linseed oil. It really warmed up and darkened the grain.

I also put on a lot better edge with a file and ceramic stone.
