and if not, why?
and if not, why?
Thats a tough one as not all of the AR10's use the sae type of mag.
O/T I'd like to see them make 9mm Pmag.
Since they are currently in the process of building a rifle that will take the SR-25/DPMS style mags (the Massoud) I reckon they might never make a AR-10 magazine.
But I will also reckon that once their rifle comes out, they will make a SR-25/DPMS magazine.
Making an AR-10 mag means making a mag for an Armalite rifle. (since the other .308 platforms use differnet mags) Since Magpul and Bushmaster are working together, I don't think we'll see one. That's too bad, coz AR10 mags are pretty expensive.
Not at all. The AR-10 mag still uses a pattern that could work in an M14/M1A.
In fact, if Magpul decided to go the route of making an M14 PMAG, they could simply mold in the mag catch notch, and it would work in the AR-10.
The thing that would not work, would be the bolt hold open -- though I bet the very large brains at Magpul could figure something out that would make it a universal fit with the M14/M1A/AR10.
I suspect they are working on a few other projects right now, but maybe in the future.
They'd get some of my hard earned money if they did
While I'm affiliated with Magpul in any way shape form or fashion, allow me to answer this question:
They're probably only *barely* able to keep up with demand as it is. Why in the world would the introduce another product at this time? Wait until you see Magpul products in stock at all your favorite dealers. THEN you'll see new products roll out.
Just my uninformed $.02 that after inflation isn't worth anything...
They'd sell more mags if they made an M14 Pmag, then got someone else to make DPMS and Armalite receivers that took stock M14 mags.
