If the barrel in question doesn't have a fixed front sight base, I'd put an adjustable block on it for sure. I HATE shooting standard ports with cans mounted. I will NOT do it on any of my short guns. 14.5 middies (BCM) work pretty good since they're already smooth as hell without the can.

And let's be fair here. The BCM port is actually rather modest in comparison to some others. Any barrel short of something with a reduced port is going to be gassy with a suppressor.

The best combo I have run is the A5H4, green Sprinco and the LMT E-Carrier.

What is the gas port size on the BCM 11.5 barrels? I just got a Giessele Super 42 buffer/spring combo, I set the buffer up as a H3 and I'm going to give it a run this weekend in my BCM 11.5, see how that goes.

It used to have a sprinco Blue and a H2, that ran flawless, but just curious how it'll go with an H3. We will see what works better.

No doubt. BCM gases there's in the sane level. Pappabear runs cans on almost everything without issue. I'm a little nuts about over gassing. My first SBR had a Jenna port and left me DEEPLY scarred.

Which weight combo will bump an A5H2 to A5H4?
