Can some tell me how is the BCM FA BCG any better than the LMT FA BCG or at the level?

I prefer the BCM pricewise but they are equal in quality.

gotm4,Thanks, for you reply back, I like to hear feedback from a Gunsmith. I thought both are the same price.

Aren't the BCM and LMT BCG's both priced at 130? I couldn't decide between the LMT and BCM because they are the exact same price. I was leaning towards the BCM just because I have not heard 1 single complaint about them. I have heard some here and there about the LMTs.

He might get a deal on the BCM that we don't

I got my LMT BCG from Grant last week and I don't see anything "wrong" with it. No sloppy machine work or anything like that. Quite the contrary, I can't put my finger on it but it "oozes quality"

You know how you can pick up a cheap 1911 and then a Les Baer and you just know the Les Baer is built better? How you close the door to a Kia then a door on a BMW and just by that you know the BMW is built better? I get that impression. (I know I know real scientific proof here, just stating my personal opinion)

It came covered in grease and I think it was cosmoline but some Brake cleaner cleared it right up. It's a dark Manganese park job on it as opposed to the grey of my old Colt BCG. There was brass on the bolt and bottom of the carrier from where it had been tested and the key is staked perfectly.

Being in the gun business I get things 'at cost'. Though the retail prices of the BCM and LMT are the same $130, my cost on the BCM is about $8 cheaper and I like the BCM better, but there is nothing wrong with the LMT BCGs....I have two of them myself.

    Quality

I know exactly what you mean, I am actually trying to convince a friend of mine to get a German car because of the perceived quality. It just isn't there with some of the cheaper alternatives. I'm sure this carriers to any item across the board.

Mostly personal preference. I like the staking better than LMT, the finish on the carrier is more consistent from carrier to carrier etc. But like I said there isn't anything wrong with the LMT.
