    It is a modular SPECWAR.

They picked the Saker name so as not to offend people who invested in those cans when they came out. Saker was dead as soon as the Omega came out.
Meh the Omegas been pissing me off lately as well. It seems that unless the ASR or direct thread module is secured with thread locker that the can body will unscrew from the adapter then I need tools to remove that from the MD/barrel. The Saker was a good design as far as the body goes but Trifecta bombed hard. Ive spoken with several former SiCo employees regarding the trifecta mount and it seems that more than one person raised objections to its weaknesses, all of which fell on deaf ears prior to, and after the release of the Saker.

I just saw that on the webpage too. I came here to see if anyone else noticed it. I figured it would be a matter of time once the Saker ASR announcement came, there just seems to be too much overlap in the lineup. Im fine with it, and i'm sure that ill eventually pick up something saker now that i don't have to worry with mounts.

I was able to pick up a specwar 556 for $450 last month, and now i can see why.....
I always wanted to take two shotguns and mount one on either side of a Rottweiler...I will call the breed a Shottweiler

...and not that anybody cares, but the Osprey Micro is also gone.

Too expensive for the 22 market.

Like the spectreII I have and hate the Sparrow I have. Wish I'd gone with a Dead Air 22 Mask can as the sparrow is an absolute bitch to clean and re-assemble. Mask breakdown and clean up looks very similar to the spectre.

This was always my big worry with the omega (along with being a bit too long for my preferences, at least on 556) and what kept me from ever purchasing one.

I can't believe they're expanding that "Omega" pistol line with a .45 suppressor... and calling it Omega just doesn't make sense.

It must cost about $35 to make, so the profit margins must be insane.

Who is buying a non-modular, non-serviceable, ugly little pistol suppressor in 2017???

    That's insane.

Assemble the can properly, without any kind of thread locker at all, and go to the range. Pull the trigger 30x.

If you reach up and it's loose, you did not properly assemble the can. If you reach up and it's tight, you will not have an easy time removing it the next time you want to get your modular on.

    Whoa.

How short do you expect it to be? I think it's pretty damn short.

I know there are those K and sub-K/micro cans out there, but they sound like getting stabbed in the ear with a pencil.

I think the Omega is the perfect balance of length/ performance... any shorter and I'd expect to see some wipes/liquid/voodoo happening inside.

Omega is a hair under 7" in length (with the flat cap), my SOCOM RC's & Specwar K are 6.2" long, that is as long as I would ever want a rifle can for 5.56, I also own a Saker K & SOCOM Minis which I also like that are shorter. To each Their own but the length & "modular tube design" which has had multiple reports of coming loose on the Omega are deal breakers for me, both issues leave me with zero interest in the Omega.

The real question is how does it compare in weight and length and how does it compare in performance on the same host.

I'd like to see it in a table from a third party source.

Looks like per the specs its a SAKER K with ASR mount. I wonder why it was once a lot more than it is now. That is why I bought the SPECWAR K. I have two for my rifles. I went with a DEAD Air for my sub 10 inch 5.56 gun. I wonder if I really need to get a SAKER K, would have done it no problem in the past but now I have a lot of suppressors and only I that shoot with them. I still use my Gemtech G5 the most.
