I like this, even as a guy who likes 1911s...

I still wish I had one of those Hudsons. I know the haterade rained down on the gun, but I thought it was a possible keeper.

Any attempt at new and outside-the-box innovation usually gets its fair share of hate. The H9 was always doomed to be a novelty I think, but it could have been a cool thing to have if they had executed it properly.....and stayed in business.

I wish they had stayed in business. The latest poly hotness does nothing for me. I saw them in my LGS and really wanted one. All my pistols are old school.... but so am I.

There is much more to it than just a 1911 style trigger.

Yeah. The trigger isn't/wasn't even one of the top features for me. Low bore axis, all metal, and grip angle like a 1911 were the big three for me. Now it sounds like DD has thoroughly fixed all the shortcomings. Only one original part was not re-vamped.

Never even heard of it till now, the last Hudson I was aware of had fender skirts and a straight eight. Sounds like DDs getting it right.

I agree. Unless we're being fed a bunch of crap, they've spent a lot of time and effort on this project.
