Based on those numbers the Rev 9 is a trade of weight for noise compared to the short tirant 9(similar length).

I like user servicability since I use mine on a 22 on occasion. Ymmv. The sights issue is irrelevant to me, other people feel the need to not shoot "through" the can, again, ymmv.

So, I think at this point you need to prioritize, length, weight or sound. I still think the rev9 offers the best balance, but each person has their own opinions on that.
Good point about length, some of the newer modular cans are great because they offer short and long length. I'm still waiting on the Surefire Ryder 9M to hit silencershop, not the quietest can but with the thinner tube it has the same effect the Osprey has with sights and in a short (albeit not so quiet) package.

They have my can right now and other than UPS confirming it was delivered last monday, I have no way of knowing whats going on since they have not responded to inquiry. I'm happy to hear it's working great for Mega.. I want to love mine, but it's been end cap strike city on 2 pistols (P320 factory threaded), Beretta 92, ADCO threaded) with factory ammo.

We will see how their customer service is with the repair. Unlike Rugged and Silencerco, Griffin offers no promise of fixing the issue without question. My experience with SilencerCo has been a polar opposite. I bought a Rugged Obsidian recently because I have little faith this issue will be resolved easily.
Interesting. Yea, no cs experience here. Please keep us posted.

here is someone else who had similar issues. http://fnforum.net/forums/sbr-suppre...nt-issues.html

I'll update for sure. If they do a good job I want people to hear about it. The only reason I have commented was to give a heads-up to be cautious. Lots of owners are happy i'm sure.

    Update on Griffin CS

"Your suppressor has been received and inspected. Upon inspection I noticed that the applied blue thread locker was actually causing the suppressor body to be held in the wrong position and was not allowing proper keying of the baffles. Once I removed the thread locker I was able to get everything together in the correct timing and replaced the damaged end cap. I also applied a small amount of ST3 to treat the threads and prevent it loosing inadvertently. We are not going to charge for the end cap and will be sending your can back as soon as you confirm your shipping information. I hope this has helped to answer your question and if you have any others please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you again for your support."

I'm very happy with the speed, I'm assuming I messed up and it will work now. i'll report back if it happens again.
