    Brain Bucket Thread

There are a lot of utilitarian helmet setups that I've seen posted in the parent thread: Night Vision Rig Assistance requested
Hoping this can be a centralized thread for helmet information. Mods welcome to nuke this thread if deemed unnecessary. This thread will not only cater to NVG rigs but to include ballistic setups as well, I can certainly learn how to better adjust my issued ACH for better fit, compliance with unit SOP's, etc.

My setup to facilitate a NAIT PVS-14:
    Ops Core Fast Bump
Norotos RHNO II mount + Dual Dovetail adapter
TNVC Mohawk MK1 counterweight using two out of four bars of weights supplied
    Agilite cover
    Core Survival Hel Star 6
Surefire M1 in a VTAC mount
    Wilcox/TNVC lanyard

I haven't ran this setup under live fire yet, but I go stargazing nearly every night and run around in the backyard to see if all of the incremental accessory addition throws off the balance. Huge thanks to Outlander Systems for hooking up a ton of supplemental gear when I bought his PVS-14.

I would be interested to know the weight of your helmet setups. I have a ACH that I use for my PVS14. I have been trying to wear it more often just to train my neck muscles. I feel like a chode wearing a ballistic helmet around the house in the evenings though

Im honestly not sure. Its light enough to be comfortable for constant wear for hours on top of hours, and the vent holes help when it gets 105+ degrees

Mine weighs 4lbs 2.4oz with everything seen. Inside the TNVC Mohawk counterweight includes 2 bars of weights, 2 spare AA's and 2 spare CR123A's.

I can certainly upload more if people are interested.

Maybe make this a helmet and IR laser thread?

    Excited about Unity Tactical's REMORA:

I've emailed them about it, they say it will be released around March 20th. I'd prefer if there was more of an offset so attachments can be tighter toward the curvature of the helmet. Looking forward to mounting an Inforce WML IR gen 2 along with my Peltor's.

Edit: More cool guy shit: Core Survival strobes
