I just tried that, and it still looks straight. Craziest optical illusion I've ever seen. Thanks for the reassurance, guys.

I can't tell. Here's my Spikes, for reference. Maybe comparing the two will help.

It's hard to tell since there is some distortion in the pictures as well. The top two do look like it's angled up ever so slightly.

The graph paper doesn't really help much as the angle of the shot and lens distortion do throw things off.

Have you tried using an L Square to see if it's straight compared to the back of the receiver?

Have you taken the buffer tube off to make sure the threads aren't crossed or perhaps the buffer tube is bent or out of spec.? Seems that would be more likely then the receiver being out of spec.

It all just might be in your head though.

I think it's just an optical illusion. All my uppers kinda look like that under certain circumstances.

Yeah, I've noticed that if I hold it up to a backlight, it seems straight, or maybe even bent the other way. Forget this worrying, there's a good chance this particular lower will never see anything bigger than .22lr anyway.

Dude i wouldnt give it a second thought if i were you. Im on a pretty tight budget too and ive noticed that it causes me to intensly examine the parts that i buy over and over until i make myself belive that something is off and it drives me crazy! That could be whats happening to you. It looks perfectly straight to me and it lines up perfect on the paper so just enjoy it and keep savin to get the rest!
