Come train with two of the most experienced instructors in their respective fields. Guys who have been in and worked through these scenarios in real-world, special operations theaters throughout the globe.
This is a level one, non-immersion medical management course that also incorporates elements of survival, movement and shelter, resource gathering/procurement and use, as well as unique prolonged field care for situations where you are the call for help.

Austere Medical Management

The focus is on trauma and emergent care medicine with a secondary focus related to prolonged field care when triage or immediate health centers are not available.
An organic medium will be used to demonstrate both the effects of damage to flesh and bone as well as how to properly and realistically fix it. This provides one of the most realistic settings available.
Some skills that will be highlighted and discussed in detail, as well as hands-on training include:

• Dynamic application of anti-hemorrhagic agents and tourniquets.
• Selection of those materials based on data proven to work in a combat/emergency environment.
• Basic to advanced wound care, including skin staple and suture.
• Airway maintenance and treatment of chest wall injures.
• Bone, ligament, muscle and tendon care and field treatment without diagnostic equipment.
• Head injuries and spinal injury.
• Applications of long term or congenital ailments that aren't usually an issue in an emergent or first responder scope, but can be a real issue in grid down/natural disaster/long-term care scenarios— and how to best deal with them with limited resources.
• Additional identification of variety of situational and scenario based ailments the patient could present with.

Survival

• Survival and movement in different austere environments - both theoretical and practical applications.*
• Building safe areas, egress points, site security and concealment.
• Shelter, tool and weapon making.
• Foraging and procurement of food, water and other basic necessities.
• Making the most out of what you have on hand and how to utilize multi-purpose items for a "grid down" or prolonged emergency scenario.

This is an entry level class. However, the level of intensity will be medium-to-high for the final field exercise on Day 2 where the skills are pressure tested with live scenario training.

Don't miss out on the chance to get multiple instructors covering overlying skill sets to complete your personal training, or use this platform to propel your level of understanding into overdrive.

Training will be held at Callidus Collective’s outdoor training facility in Fallbrook, CA. All training materials are provided.
