I'm a sucker for a carry handle

Two of my favorite AR15s, purely based on simplicity and ease of use. It doesn't get much better than an A1 or A2 rifle, especially one made 100% by Colt.

I have always had a real fondness for the 6520 as a teaching gun.

For social purposes, it's an Aimpoint hands down. But for fun at the range, I always love time on a 6520.

I prefer carry handles whether they are A1, A2, or A4. I like the way the sights work.

Too bad I missed out on 6520(s). I did manage to get a 6920 that I put a carry handle on. I even put a carry handle on my Dissipator.

I'm doing a build using a YHM tube. Almost reluctant to finish it but I bought the setup off a former co-worker who was hard pressed for some cash. It will be the only build I've done without a carry handle. I think once I'm finished I'm going to sell the thing. I'm just too used to carry handles of one style or the other and factory hand guards.

Speaking of carry handles and A1 sights; has anyone ever modified the A1 rear sight tumbler/wheel for better adjustment, or seen/hear of it done?

I was thinking today of possible drilling holes between the pre-drilled holes to see if that possibly fine-tunes the adjustment any. Seems there is enough room there.

Just a thought followed up by a question.
