    11.5 CQC Monorail Project

Ive decided to re configure my 11.5" upper to a more useful application.

Im starting with a MI midlength free floating rail and hope to swap out the standard sight for a low profile gasblock to allow the rail to cover the area of the sight.

    Its the shorty below:

That way I wont have to use a riser for the Eotech. With the full raill I also expect to pick up the centurion HK style sights. All should line up without mods.

    should look something like this:

except with MAGPUL MAID grips and MAGPUL stock TBD....

will post pcks as I get them

If you put a fixed front sight on the rail, won't it be just as much in the way as the orginal FSB? Or do the HK-style sights sit lower than standard BUIS's?

Thats a good point. Im trying to the measurements before I comit to those particular HK type sights.

I doubt that I would need a riser for those sights to line up.

    Anyone know for certain?

The Centurion HK sights put the sights at the same height as standard AR15 sights. There will be more of an open view than with a standard FSP because of the hood on the front HK sight will dip lower than a FSP. The actual sight height will remain the same. Also, the rear drum has an open type sight as one of the settings that should move the rear sight totally out of your view when using an EOtech. I used a set with an aimpoint in a larue mount, so the aimpoit rode a little higher than your eotech, but your findings should be the same.

Just received the sights from Centurion Arms and they are 110% Thanks grinch

I expect that the HK style sights are a bit faster than the standard FSB and standard sights. Am waiting for final parts and will post pictures of finished project.

I have a set of the Centurion sights on my LMT/Bushy hybrid M4gery. I love them! I have 2 HKG3 clones, so I was comfortable with the HK sight picture. I prefer it over the standard AR picture.
