Damn, one less reason not to pull the trigger on a MOAKS, and a couple of your other tools. Waiting for these to hit your website.

I am starting to think Ned knows a bit about guns...
Excellent idea. I have made good use of your chamber reamer and MOAKS over the years. This innovation is long overdue
I admire and am in awe of the passion and knowledge of the things that improve the AR that you and others, for example Duffy, bring to the table.
Looking forward to being able to source these off your site.
Do these fasteners perform any better in shear than say a normal high quality fastener? I don't know if shear failure is common on the gas key, but I could see fatigue causing them to weaken and fail.

These are not any stronger than other SHCS (socket head cap screws) made by good ol' US mfgrs. to the standards. That means they are stronger than Grade 5. They are stronger than Grade 8. They're pretty strong.
When I see a sheared head on a cap screw, I figure it's either been over torqued or was a crappy screw to start with. I confess to having a bit of a fixation on bad fasteners..... reading for years how counterfeits come into the US with packaging that makes them look like the real deal, and even with falsified material certifications. It's bad enough that they screw us monetarily but when the bridge collapses or the building crumbles because the screws are fake, that's hard to take.
These look great, and form follows function. Nice work.

Ned, your arms must get awfully tired, constantly knocking things out of the park like that.
When I rebuild a BCG, I've been using grade 8, torx plus SHCS's (and a MOACKS). Obviously I'll be using yours as soon as they're available.
Thank you for your attention to the AR platform.

Damn, this is one of those very rare how come nobody thought of this earlier things.
Brilliant idea!
