Just last week my buddies Larue would slide back and forth on the rail between the pic sections. He said he would just tighten it up when he got home and it will be good to go for next time. I have a feeling this is going to keep happening. And then he buys another LT mount yesterday for his new rifles RDS... I don't get it..

The kool-aid runs deep with LT fanboys. You would have better luck talking an anti-gun liberal into getting their CCW.

The 1.93" mounts are the height over rail to the center of the optic, yep.
Thanks. Do you happen to know the height of center of bore to receiver top rail?

    I did some research

Bobro lower 1/3rd micro mounts are about 1.5" height of optic center line over top rail (about 39mm) and the Bobro high mount is 1.7" (43mm). Scalarwork's lower 1/3rd LDM/micro mount is 1.57" (40mm) height over rail. Aimpoint COMPM4 and Pro factory mount with spacer is 1.56" (39mm) height over top rail. Geissele's lower 1/3rd mount must be similar to these but I couldn't find the specs, the 1.93" Geissele mount is 49mm tall. The EoTech G33 magnifier without spacer lines up nearly center line with these common lower 1/3rd micro mount heights. The spacer on the EoTech G33 is 7mm tall to get you to some where around 46mm height over rail which is about .12" (3mm) shy of optical center line with the Geissele 1.93" mount. I know you can adjust the center of the image with the G33 magnifier. I would guess the size of the G33 magnifier glass relative to the Aimpoint micro window size would allow function between the 1.93" G micro mount and the G33 magnifier with 7mm spacer when the center of image is adjusted? A 9-10mm G33 spacer would be just right for the 1.93" G mount.

Aimpoint's new flip-to-side, twist-off mounts for their new military 3x and 6x magnifiers will be 39mm height of optic center line over rail and will match all the above lower 1/3rd mounts similar to how the Eotech G33 without 7mm spacer pairs with them, but the new Aimpoint magnifier mount isn't designed to accept spacers. A picatinny riser used under the mount itself or an aftermarket mount looks like the only option for the 1.93" G micro mount with the new Aimpoint magnifiers.

Additionally the EoTech G33 has about 2.2" (56mm) of eye relief and Aimpoint's new military magnifiers have 2.75" (70mm) of eye-relief.

Op, I have Bobro and Scalarworks micro mounts. The Bobro is nice but heavy in comparison. The Scalarworks is made of 7075t6, Bobro is 6061t6. The Scalarworks seems plenty strong in design and actually has a longer contact point with the top rail than the Bobro does. I would guess Bobro has better RTZ due but IDK, i don't take it on and off to know. Can't go wrong with either I think, but I am considering selling my Bobro for another Scalarworks LDM if not testing out this new 1.93" way of doing things.

Does anyone has the 1.9" tall Geissele mount that could post a picture?

I just purchased the Absolute Co-Witness Geissele micro mount for my T2 after LOTS of research. I'm glad I went with it, it is rock solid and built like a tank. I was considering the Scalarworks also, but realized for a duty rifle there was no need for a quick detach.

I like ADM stuff for Aimpoint and Optics, but I will likely try Scalarworks and or Geissele next purchase - however I see no need to change what I have at this point in time.

I bought my T-2 as a bundle with a LT mount, the first thing I did is sell the LT mount unused and bought an American Defense mount.

Accurate assessment. I had a LT scope mount because I didn't know any better but solid it off eventually, as I didn't like the adjustment process or the marring of the upper rail.

I think they keep buying for the pocket constitutions and 'Dillo dust, actually.

For Aimpoint Micro's I run with the Daniel Defense Micro mounts since I have no need for a QD mount. If the optic fails, that's what the BUIS are for.....

You can push the mount back and forth after the lever has dug a crater into the side of your rail.

Is this an issue if you don't remove the optic? Or is it only an issue if the mount is taken off and replaced multiple times?
