These look pretty awesome and seem to have deep penetration. Do you think they are better barrier blind rounds than a comparable bullet in 556? Like 64gr gold dot or federal fusion?

So my initial subsonic testing has gone well. I'm loading 10.2gr of Accurate LT-30 with a 150gr pulled round nose. I had my doubts about the round nose bullets feeding but they seem to be running just fine. With that said they are magazine specific due to the bullet's profile. The bullets drag on the internal ribs in D&H and Tango Down mags. No such issues with GI 6P199 mag or MOE PMAG.
Accuracy is decent and the load is quiet. The round nose shape might be a better choice too for such a slow bullet.

Right, I tried the .277 in a 5.56 case full length at first and found out it would make the cartridges bind on the front ribs. That is why I shortened the 277 WLV case to place it just behind the front rib. Blunt bullets like he has loaded hit the corners of the metal mags but the tabs are easily ground away.
Not a big deal as I am only messing with these bullets because I got them cheap. Once they are gone I probably will stick to pointy rifle bullets.
RMR has them in stock now for $130 a thousand shipped.

Alright. I have some rounds downrange with the new barrel.
My sub load of 9.8gr of CFE BLK with a 150gr soft point runs just over 1,000 fps and is pretty darned quiet with my AAC suppressor in place. This load cycles fine but won't lock open on an empty mag without the can.
Supersonic loads are a bit of another story. I'm having occasional stuck case issues where the rim is damaged by the extractor. This doesn't happen all the time but I'm guessing I'm still probably going to need some sort of adjustable gas block in the near future.
Anyways, the rifle seems to be quite accurate. Here is an example of a group I shot this afternoon. This is a Sierra Pro Hunter 110gr loaded with Accurate 1680 powder.
