What have you done to your AR(s) today?

I experimented with different barrel lengths flowing through my house, practicing threshold clears and pie-ing, and getting my muzzle on my sector from different positions. Using different clearing techniques. Since there has been some discussion lately on stupid short barrels, I might make a thread on this later.

Got my freshly approved Form 1 KAC SR-15 lower engraved. All NFA requirements have been yet, and all that's left is to get the upper.

This week I updated my 16" carbine (and painted this shotgun and then gave it the old stock and sling from the AR).
New MOE-SL stock, VLTOR A5 buffer tube, A5H2 buffer and spring, Thorntail light mount and custom sewn Vickers sling (yes I forgot to order a QD, it's ordered and I'll resew the stock end of the sling when it gets here)

I took off my collapsing stock on my AR.308 and put on a Luther fixed rifle stock.

Checked zero on a truck gun (rides in security vault) for first time in 2 years. Felt it was prudent.
Held zero, no issues. <1.5”/5 rds benched. More than adequate for purpose.

BCM 14.5” P/W, ADM QD Mount, Steiner 1-4x, 64 gr. G.D.
This speaks well for the parts.

I rebarreled a couple of pieces parts guns. One had a take off S&W M&P barrel on it and the other had what appeared to be a cut down A1 M16 barrel on it.

Awhile back I bought several of the Remington Defense Socom 14.5 pinned barrels from CDNN.

Was able to sell the other two barrels locally for more than I paid for the new Socoms! Nice, free, upgrades!

I bought one of those barrels as well. I took it to the range yesterday, and it ran good. My only gripe, is that they didn't parkerize under the FSB.

I bought four of them. Two to rebarrel these two rifles and two to keep as spares.

With the long weekend I finally got time to re barrel these rifles. Both of mine shot well. The gas ports seem properly spec'd based on ejection pattern... Glad I was able to upgrade these two guns at no cost...
