The Modlites are crazy bright, and seem to have a very good beam spread. I have one, and I'm trying to figure which weapon it will go on. I think these are going to become exceedingly popular as word gets out.

Board policy mandates I state that I shoot for BCM. I have also done work for 200 or so manufacturers within the firearm community. I am prior service, a full time LEO, firearm instructor, armorer, TL, martial arts instructor, and all around good guy.

I also shoot and write for various publications. Let me know if you know cool secrets or have toys worthy of an article...

I really should be posting in this thread more often. Lately I've been playing around with a 6.5G build.

    Which upper is that, Stick?

Some more parts procurement on "the twins"...

    M4:
    • Manta rail covers acquired
    • Started looking for an acceptable but budget-friendly alternate to Surefire M962

For our grunts out there who've run "non-official" lights recently, what are some of your picks? The 962 kit costs as much as the entire rifle it mounts on...

    C8:
    • Endplates, recoil pad and stand-in tri-ad rail ordered
    • Selected finish candidates and asked pro smith to select best fit and quote for job
    • Opened talks with Atomic Engraving for custom engraving on lower blank
    • Started looking for a decent-priced Surefire G2 and ring mount, since I don't expect a breakthrough on an Insight M3X

Out at 8:30 to shoot in the same light I get for Sunday morning matches. Shot 200 pistol and a mag with the SBR to make sure it still works. Now I have to quik clean the SBR.

Got a Colt 6720 barrel from Grant a week or so a go to swap out with the M4/government profile barrel on my wife's carbine. Haven't zeroed it yet, hopefully we will this week.
