Took some spare parts, and a Remington Defense M4A1 barrel I ordered from CDNN, and assembled a new blaster.

M4: Just paid off the upper and arranged shipment to my pin-and-weld smith.

C8: Reached out to Gunkote to find out if they'd have a version of their Napa Green suitable for rubber buttpads, found out it's due for release in about a month.

Switched out the Radical Firearms NADA brake (which I love) for the BRT Covert Comp on the 7.62x39, 10.5.
The BRT is expected to have flash can capabilities along with comp capabilities.
Then threw in a new buffer spring (it's time).

I'll run some mags through it in the morning to see if there is a difference.

    I looked at it.

I need to shoot it and give it a bath but I haul wet wipes and I’m busy as shit right now.

Shaved down the front sight and installed a KAC medium length FF rail and KAC three prong on my Colt Socom 6920 with a 16" barrel.

On the other, installed a DD m4a1 rail and a Surefire Warcomp.
I wanted the fde rail but the LGS only had the black one in stock, but for the price I'm not complaining. $356 +tax. Every other place has it listed for $418 these days.

I know quad rails are a little out of date but i still like the look.

Ran a couple mags to confirm zero with the new muzzle device out to 400+ yds. No change at all. And it has good comp abilities.

Was actually back on the weekend. I did a quick review with the wife on how our ARs and pistols work.

Sewed up this VTAC style sling with extra wide & soft shoulder strap transitioning to a standard size webbing for the lower adjuster portion. All sewn terminations including a little custom stitching on the adjuster pull ("DG", my initials). This is all done by hand on a WW2 era fully manual machine. Yes the stitching is purple (on top, blue on the bottom for easier stitching issue identification), it's sort of my thing, been using purple thread since I learned how to sew webbing.

My son is wanting to get into .300 blackout. I'm wanting to get out of it. I put my 10.5" 5.56 pistol upper on the SBR lower, and my 11.3" .300BO upper on a pistol lower for him... Now, as soon as he saves up some cash he'll have a nice one waiting, and being a typical dad, I'll give him a good discount. I'm even leaving the Streamlight and Arisaka mount on there.

    We spoil 'em too much.

Bought a MRO to replace a Sparc. Led to moving the Sparc to a 15-22, MRO on a SBR, and PRO to a DD v7.
