Reassembled my upper after taking it apart to get some weights and measurements. Set screws in the gasblock didn't have any loctite on them from when I assembled it the first time so was sure to add it this time. Went together pretty easily.

Nothing. Yesterday, I ordered some shims, because I can’t get a Troy barrel but to line up correctly on an M5 receiver while staying within 35-80 ft-lbs.

I cleaned my dedicated 22lr upper after running 700 rounds through it yesterday. Found a broken firing pin spring and replaced it with a spare. I am well over 2000 rounds through the upper so far with maybe 5 malfunctions total.

I also applied locktite to the thread protector I installed before taking it to range. I used an extra BCM Mod 0 comp when I first built the upper, that was a bad idea on a rimfire - now it's packed with lead.

Your compensator will direct most of the energy out to the sides to keep the barrel level. His will direct less energy towards the sides/ light.

I would set your light back further to protect it from damages and to keep the energy from changing your POA. You could mount it under the comp but It would be best to slide it back away from heat and energy.

To clarify, I have a linear compensator, only open in the front. I moved my light and my front sight back far enough that the light is behind the muzzle.

Shot mine. Ran the 18x18x18 drill for about an hour. It kicked my ass and pointed out several weaknesses.

Took my wife and dedicated .22 LR upper to the range and fired ~ 400 rounds. I actually had good timing putting the rimfire upper together right before the pandemic and riot driven 5.56/223 shortage. I can have some meaningful trigger time without using my centerfold ammo stash up.
