Sorry to hear that. Did you try to trouble shoot it? Here are some things I'd look at:
1) Compare springs - is the 'mil-spec' spring the same diameter and length? If there is any difference in length count coils - there should be 28. Try each spring to make sure they seat to the same depth in the pistol grip.
2) Compare detent pins - are they the same profile? Maybe try the detent pin from the 'mil-spec' safety with the 'G' safety.
3) Lube the safety with a good quality grease - I pack the cups and channels that the detent rides in with Brian Enos Slide Glide, but any good grease will work. I usually have to remove some grease from the out side of the receiver as I work the safety.
4) Wear the parts in - spend some time just flipping the switch, so to speak. This may improve a stiff selector.
