M4: Took delivery of Aimpoint 2 days ahead of schedule (nice work, SKD and USPS!), installed FDE rubber cover, tested for function and test-fitted to URG.

That looks like a cool build. I dig the old school light setup on there.

Mine isn't quite as old school as that but far from the latest and greatest lol.

Thanks, amigo--the concept was "Rockpile Setup." Surefire G2 light came from PD Sgt here, with a tape-switch adapter based on how he said he'd had it set up riding his rifle Over There. SOPMOD stock and buffer-tube assembly came from other members on the EE, too. OKC-3S came from a member on a local board. Teamwork makes the dream work!

For the record, re the safety, I keep all my AR's hammer-down-empty-chamber unless they're set up for immediate use and loaded to avoid spring wear. This one's bolt-carrier is still sealed in its bag; that'll get opened when I take it up to the shop for my pro smith to give it a pre-testing safety checkout and give me a "report card" grading my work.

Switched to PWS long stroke piston for my SBR, then decided to build a PWS Recce style rifle on a whim. So, I guess I'm all piston now.

Made a few changes on one of my rebuilds. A little while back, I added the Centurion Arms C4 M-LOK FSP handguard and M-LOK rail panels. This past week, I made a few more changes. They include the following:

Forward Controls Designs Low Drag Forward Assist (LDF-A) - Dimpled
Forward Controls Designs Enhanced Magazine Release, Ambidextrous (EMR-A) - Dimpled
Forward Controls Designs Enhanced Magazine Release, Heavy, Continuous (EMR-HC) - Dimpled
Forward Controls Designs Augmented Bolt Catch/Release V3 (ABC/R), Rearward Biased (RB), Black - Dimpled
Griffin Armament Suppressor Normalized Ambidextrous Charging Handle
Griffin Armament Ambidextrous AR-15 Safety Selector Kit
    LaRue Tactical MBT-2S (Straight Bow)

The Forward Controls Designs dimpled pieces go well with the dimpled Centurion Arms rail panels.

I also added Centurion Arms MLOK Handguard Rail Covers and a Centurion Arms MLOK CMR Handguard Hand Stop to my BRN-180.

Snapped the OOW FN upper I just got onto the LMT A2 lower I picked up 15 years ago that's been bouncing around in the safe. Easy day.

Mine are also usually stored as separate halves, only joined when I either expect action or have some work done that needs to be photographed.

The C8 would have a bayonet too, but I've told the girlfriend SHE has to drop the $250 for her Canadian-issue overpriced German pigsticker on that.

That makes sense. I used to tear things down and spread parts to the four winds, years and years ago, before I had a safe.
