Not sure about the GSA contract overrun stuff but I ordered one direct from LaRue. Was just under 800 bucks.
Edit to add...
His is actually probably one of the older ones. His handguard has the kemod on all sides, the newer ones only have it on the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions.
There is a thread hear somewhere that I pisted a bunch of pics of my upper.

Nothing too exciting, changed a couple lights and their mounts around.
Continued WML check. 52rds (30 w/light) 100% function

Packed the M4 and C8 into their "discreet" suitcase while I wait for my pro smith to tell me the C8's furniture is Gunkoted and ready for pickup.

Removed a gray 15" ALG V1 M-LOK rail from my 18" rifle to install a 16.7" Noveske NHR rail in its place. I will also dimple the barrel for gas block screw (drill press, stressful!) and re-install the A2 flash hider using shims and locktite. Also swapped the gray furniture for black (Ergo PG and STR).
The 15" ALG rail will be used in an upper build for my brother, along with a 20" Faxon Gunner barrel (5.56).
Hope to get to the range to re-zero it today.
EDIT - finished, but damn it fought me the whole way. Pretty sad when dimpling the barrel was the easy part. Going to shoot/re-zero it in the morning.

I cancelled the 308 barrel I ordered from Blackhole Weaponry, as they couldn't give me an estimated delivery date. Their latest projection for a barrel I ordered back in May, is approximately 3 - 12 months out. As I looked for alternatives I found an M110 profile Ultra Match Mod 2 barrel at Rainier Arms, and a Krieger M110 profile barrel at Fulton Arms. Both barrels were 20" with rifle length gas systems, and both had 1-10 twist rates. The Rainier barrel had the KAC compatible muzzle threading of 3/4-24, which would require purchasing a new muzzle device from Surefire if I wanted to run my SOCOM 762 can. The journal for the gas block is .750, which would have worked with the SLR gas block I already purchased. The Krieger had the standard 5/8-24 threads which would work with the Surefire 762 muzzle brake I already have (SFMB762), but the gas block journal was .875", which would require purchasing a new gas block. In the end I went with the Krieger barrel, as I could return the .750" SLR gas block in exchange for the needed .875" version. I ordered the barrel from Fulton, and ordered the gas block from Brownell's (with a can of FDE Aluma Hyde II to paint the barrel) on Thursday. Now I'm just playing the waiting game.... Hopefully I'll get this 308 up and running before October.
Shot/re-zeroed my 18" rifle after changing the rail and dimpling the barrel. Did all shooting at 50 Y (or M). One malfunction because I had stuff on the right side of the bench and bounced an ejected case back into the action. My friend put 5 rounds of Federal tipped 50gr into 2 holes .25" apart, and we both fired multiple .5"-ish groups (at 50 Y), so it will shoot. Rainier CHF "mountain series" 18" rifle gas barrel. It does not care for cheap 55 gr ball, which grouped 2-3 times worse than the ammo it "liked".
It was 85-89 degrees and ridiculously humid.
