The barrel for my 308 finally arrived today. I promptly roughed it up with a Scotch Brite pad, and doused it with a coat of FDE Aluma Hyde. I did the same thing to the receiver set. Final assembly will take place this week, and I’ll hopefully hit the range this weekend!

I got and installed my Thorntail SBR offset adaptive mount, to complete my install of my Chicom made Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount 2, to my cheap ass USA made AR15 (in the evil dwarf 300 Blackout caliber), that also sports a Chicom Holosun HE503GU-GR, that's at least mounted in a made in USA Midwest Industries 100% Co-witness non-QD mount.

I could go for the trifecta, and go shoot some Chicom ammo out of it, but they don't make any for the evil dwarf.

So I'll just have to muddle along with some reloads sporting American made Hornady 110 Gr. VMax's, stuffed into some Starline brass, powered by LilGun and CCI 450 primers.

Replaced an Arisaka 300 w/E1HT head with a Surefire M300C on my 10.3" pistol as it has more flood for the intended ranges of across the house/the backyard/the street.

Got a PSA premium upper and installed a BCM PKMR FDE and forward grip on it...

Qual'd in a nice steady rain for work. I can't say enough good things about Sionic's and their customer service and their rifles. Time to dry out and clean up.
