Canadian practice has the grip stuffed full of cleaning kit. Most of their guys I've asked say they keep spares in waterproof bags in their LBV's, but I like to try to keep as much as I can of the essentials to keep the rifle running stuck right onboard just in case I don't have time to play dress-up before Go Time.

Could just hang one of these off a sling swivel...

Tony Cowden, in his shy way, recently demonstrated taping batteries all over his gun with duct tape.

Thanks for the link. It's simple enough... I was envisioning silver duct tape all over the place.

Back when I had a vortex sparc I got the rail mounted battery holder, was easy to use and low enough profile to not get in the way. Sold it when I sold the sparc though. Wouldn't mind anither one to hold an extra 2032 or what ever they are for my 1-6x. As for my PRO, I should come up with something to hold a spare on that rifle too.

The GG&G 30mm mount I got with a used CompM3 had an extra batter compartment.

I know that you are already aware of this, but for others who are not, the AR10 variants are much more picky than their AR15 sibilings. In this case, I had pulled it apart and put it back together 3 different times, and each time I ended up with the same results. Finally, I put the lower next to another lower, and the buffer tube (receiver extension) looked slightly shorter. I thought I had a short defective RE, but when I pulled it out, it was the same size as the one I was comparing it to (and the next one and the next one....). I screwed it back in, and found it could be backed off one complete revolution. I did this, and so far its not had any issues. Pretty crazy stuff.

With 300BLK, the first thing I would ask is what brand barrel you were using, but in an effort to not side rail this thread, I would encourage you to make a post about 300BLK feed issues in my little section and that way others will be able to search for it and learn as well.

I’ll add to this. Got a FDE LWRC DI. Got a great deal on it nib a few years ago. It came with a magpul precision stock. The stocks very nice. But just wasn’t my thing. I got a BCM carbine tube, spring / H2 buffer set. Ordered a LWRC compact carbine FDE stock. I didn’t know what buffer to get but everyone and web site says it’s over gassed and run a H2 . It still ejects at 1:30 - 2:30. I tried a tubbs flat spring ad H3. It did not change ejection. I put it back to what they send out from factory. Standard carbine spring and H2.
