    Cool

Upper came in last Tuesday. Decided to swap out the Spikes grip for a MOE (matches the rest of the MOE!) - put 'er together, and too 'er out for a quick hundred rds. down the range. Didn't like the firing pin (3 light primer strikes in the last 40rds.) - swapped it for a space BCM pin I had laying around. Hope to take it out again soon, and see how it does!

I milled an 80% lower, installed parts including a SD-3G, law tactical and a shockwave brace. Second lower I milled, easier the second time.

This should probably start a new thread, but if I may ask what are your jig and blanks of choice? I did EP Armory poly on their jig for my first, and have three more polys to practice on (figured better to get cheap stuff for the first few "fail-forward" attempts than gamble the investment on higher-priced better stuff) while I look into upgrading my workshop capabilities.

Finally laid hands on a set of snap-ring pliers, installed delta-ring assembly and test-fitted my entire upper. (Without a vise I can't meet the 40lb. torque spec, so until I find a machine shop that'll just let me rent a vise for ten minutes it's a "test assembly only". I'm sure it'd go bang in an emergency, but I'm treating it as unsafe until it's *properly* torqued and on a lanyard-fired rest.)

Came home, opened the safe, made sure all the ladies were still there and let them know I haven't forgotten them.

I put a few more complete lowers in the safe last week. I need to pull off the stock before I mate an upper to them so that they'll all built initially as pistols for most flexibility.

The jig I use is 80% Arms Gen1.

I used this lower with good results and the Fire/Safe markings are clean as others I’ve seen are less than satisfactory.
I have not tested this lower yet but that will be rectified soon as it’s just getting light here so I’ll help wake the neighbors and local livestock.

5D tactical has a realy solid Jig https://www.5dtactical.com/ . Right to Bear has good 80% Lowers https://www.righttobear.com/80-perce...ers-s/1985.htm They also sell the 5d jigs a little cheaper than their website

After selling my AR10 style rifles years ago, I went an ordered my first AR15. I surprised my self because I always contemplated building my own AR with fancy parts, or buying a boutique AR. However, I bought a Colt 6721. I'm not sure how I want to configure it.
