I tried to do a comparison test between different buffer spring setups. It didn't go too well because they all felt similar.

Left has Tubbs spring w/ Spikes T2 buffer, middle has VLTOR A5 system w/ A5H2 buffer, and right has Geissele Super 42 spring w/ H2 buffer.

Swapped out the OEM stock and hand grip on my PSA Classic lower for Magpul stuff. Already had the Magpul items on hand, so it didn't cost me anything....this year.

I must apologize for poking fun at all this “tinkering”. I just realized I installed a spikes buffer in a S&W sport back in the day. So obviously I have NO room to talk!

Put 300 rds through my AR to test function after having the barrel chopped and gas port opened up a bit. Feels a bit over gassed but everything ran fine and overall I’m really happy with it. Balances great and it’s pretty light now.

    No need to apologize.

Aside from it's military origin, one of the compelling things about these rifles is that you can do almost all your own work on them, and with fairly basic tools and average aptitude.

This thread has not been updated in a while, I pinned my gas block yesterday. Should have taken a pic with it a part but my phone was charging upstairs at the time.
