I thrashed a nice Centurion complete lower today! Well maybe not thrashed but I gouged the anodizing inside pretty good where the rear lug on the upper seats in to it.
I was super excited to get my FN m16a2 upper and when the fit was unusually tight I figured if I worked it it would fit.
Long story short I have to smack it pretty good to get it to break open and I have to hammer the rear pin in and out.
    Oh well.

Function tested two AR’s that were updated to A5 receiver systems with standard A5H2 buffers. BA 11.3” and BCM 12.5” both function just fine with 5.56 M193 clones (as expected). Forgot to bring along some .223.
Recoil truly felt minimal, though not absent (as expected). Get a big flash from the 11.3 with A2 (as expected), but way, way less concussion than when I had the Strike J-Comp on there. It didn’t feel as flat, but still seemed to barely more; definitely will want to check .223 in some cold weather this year. The 12.5 has a Warcomp on it... My friend shot an AR for a first time and was surprised at the massive flash from the 11.3, but said he couldn’t see a thing from the 12.5. Felt great.

Replaced Carbine Buffers with H2 buffers in 2 rifles today. Running Osprey kits, H2 buffer testing showed better results.

What did I do to my AR(s) today? Sold them all. A lot of famous folks and politicians and the media told me they were dangerous.

    Cool

Put my HD rifle on a diet! Got rid of the DD quad rails...

And went with a BCM MCMR. FEELS like it lost 5lbs in the process (I lost a foregrip in the changeover also)!

Sad thing is, I have, and use one. My times are acceptable, not necessarily great, but much better than mediocre. But my precision in unorthodox positions, engaging multiple targets/distances seems to be going the wrong direction. I’m not sure if I was just having a bad day, or if its time to directly compare LPVO vs Aimpoint/magnifier for those types of range days.

Have you been using a LPVO more recently?
