Shot my Colt SOCOM barreled carbine with my new Surefire suppressor, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was remarkable how well this barrel handles being suppressed. My 18" SPR has a DD barrel, and I get more gas to the face with that gun than I do my Colt SOCOM equipped carbine. I think I'm going to keep this one, and part out my 18" gun.

Minor things today. Loosened up sling and flipped front sight around after taking a recent class. Now I will not get choked out on shoulder transitions and front sight will not fold down if it gets hit. Actual training has been a real eye opener and humbling experience!!

I got up today, ate a pound of bacon, six eggs and some coffee grounds, took my blaster out, loaded to the hilt with 2 mags-making sure they where down loaded two rounds. I was traveling heavy today and expected a demanding firing schedule so I made sure my Camelback was filled and lubed my hard use gun with some new stuff my buddy got from a dude who is connected. Good thing I had my fixed irons as my red dot failed during a 2 round string but the line was called cold just as I was going to transition. Glad I heard the RSO through my headset with mic with nobody to talk to otherwise I would've been busted doing a draw. I was going to check zero on the irons but I only had one mag left, figure. I can do that another day when I can get on the 100m range.

This is close to my preworkout I do every AM before a 500m sprint, 200 burpees, and ORM squat. Finish it all off with a 1000 yard stress shoot on the timer.

Tore down the KAC lower I had on my A2 rifle, and transferred all the parts to a new Nodak Spud lower. The Nodak lower has a nice tight, wobble free fit to my Fulton upper. Test firing will commence this afternoon. If anybody is interested in a lightly used KAC lower PM me.

Started to think about which one I'd slap it on if M4C offered a "Site Sponsor" engrave plaque, now that I've chipped in on the Newsletter $5 Off promo just a few minutes ago.

Sounds like we both had problems.

I'm trying to vet magazines and a rifle for EDC reliability. I thought I was just about done but the rifle started to mysteriously key-hole just 782 rounds short of the 20,000 it takes to certify my serious use rifles.

Thank goodness I have a Colt 6920 standing by to start the process tomorrow. I'll start out at about 6:00 by throwing it out in the front yard and running over it a couple times before heading out to Keesler AFB to hitch a ride on a 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron (WSR) WC-130J for a HALO jump into the middle of Tropical Cyclone Hermine out in the Gulf. After I make landfall, I'll make my way to the Hornady Factory in Grand Island, NE, where I've arraqnged for them to divert production to support my serious use carbine kickoff (SUCK).

Really glad I won the lottery.
Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the President... - Theodore Roosevelt, Lincoln and Free Speech, Metropolitan Magazine, Volume 47, Number 6, May 1918.

Every Communist must grasp the truth. Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun. Our principle is that the Party commands the gun, and the gun must never be allowed to command the Party Mao Zedong, 6 November, 1938 - speech to the Communist Patry of China's sixth Central Committee
