Why would they? What are you using a RDS for that 2 MOA is too large? The smaller the dot, the more complications arise in manufacturing. What's the return/benefit?

Not to mention that the 1 MOA dot is a bit harder to find. That's part of the magic of the ring around the EOTech dot.

Keep in mind, Aimpoints aren't really 2 MOA or 4 MOA. The dot grows as intensity is increased. Want a smaller dot? Turn down the brightness. Want a 12 MOA dot? Crank it up.

It has nothing to do with being harder to find. You shouldn't have to find the dot. The dot will be there when looking at the target with both eyes open. The problem is a small dot contradicts everything a RDS is made for. Engaging fairly large targets at reasonable ranges quickly. Nobody in their right mind would put one a precision rig. Nothing magic about the EOTech ring. It is nothing more than a spray and pray reticle.

The bottom part is used for 10m and in. The edges are used for moving targets and to estimate range. I find it more for precision than the AP.

    Not sure if serious
"If force can take away liberty, force is necessary to preserve it. It is the hatred of violence alongside the willingness to use violence that preserves liberty. In order for us to live as free men, we have to hate the violence that takes away liberty, yet at the same time, we must embrace the violence that preserves it. That is the paradox our founders appreciated and made work for over 200 years."

I never got the "bigger is easier to find" mentality. It's either a glowing dot, or not. I've never had to find an illuminated reticle what wasn't set too low. Just because your target is closer doesn't mean your ar turns into a shotgun, it still shoots where you aim horizontally.

If a 1 moa dot makes you shoot smaller groups than a 4moa dot, your doing it wrong. (Does not apply to people with astigmatism )
