Ladders on all my pic rail hand guards except my RAS, which gets the KAC covers. MLOK I leave naked.

Ladder style for rails and the BCM for my Keymod. I've tried some monstrum tactical keymod rail panels and the 2" Picatinny Rail Covers but they seem too bulky for me.

Yep new math lol. Sorry brain fart yes two was 18.00 and 3 were 27.00. Thinking one thing and typing another. Sometimes brain and fingers dont work as one anymore thanks to the tbi. Samething between talking and thinking. Sometimes i think and mean one thing and say something wrong or completly opposite.

my KACs came with rail covers so I put them on and like them. My DD did not come with rail covers and I have not bothered to spend any money to fix that. Unless you get the barrel really warm, I'm not sure what value rail covers really have

For me it was about the textured grip, the BCM keymod covers are thin and have a nice non-slip feel. Helping with the heat is also a plus.

I put Midwest Industries panels on my BCM KMR, mostly because I liked their small handstop, but also because (for aesthetics) I wanted to match the OD of the Magpul components I was using. I ended up dying a BCM Gunfighter grip and a Tango Down stubby vertical grip to match the overall OD theme. Just wanted to see what I could do to match up all the accessories, since my rifles had been all black up to that point. I do really like the feel of the MI Keymod panels, but they were a little pricey and a bit of work to install.

I use Magpul ladders on the top rail on all my handguards, since they minimize the profile on the taller top rail. On standard railed hanguards, like my M4 at work, I like Magpul's old XT panels. Not sure why - they're a little bulky - but I like the smooth round profile they create. I have to say, though, the M4 handguard gets pretty bulky with rail panels and a PEQ-15 on the top.

Here's mine with the XT pannels on the side and ladder on the top, I like the XT covers texture, just feels like my hand won't slip off I guess. I'm happy with em but they kinda suck too put on

I like the Knights Armament 11 rib rail covers. They work well with my fat hands. Three rails will cover the sides and bottom of a carbine rail perfectly. I do run the cheap Chinese Ladder rail protectors on some of my weapons and they are good too.
