So, literally yesterday I took the TA33 ACOG mounted on my BCM carbine and for shits and giggles mounted it to my Colt and proceeded to the range. I'm guessing the distance was roughly 50-75 yards. No I didn't shoot on paper; I just wanted to see if the zeroing was even close. As far as I could tell the ACOG was sighted in identically for both rifles. Sure, had I set up a paper target and fired for precision I might have had to do some tweaking, but I did rest my elbows on the table and took slow, carefully aimed shots. I couldn't see a dime's worth of difference between how the ACOG was sighted for one rifle versus the other.

One of these days I'll shoot both rifles side-by-side at a longer distance with the ACOG and see how close they still are. (It got too hot yesterday to stay out there too long).

Long time ago, new Colt rifle, new Aimpoint M2 and A.R.M.S. mount along with an A.R.M.S. #40, mounted it all up and didn't have to touch a thing-what are the odds? Only happened twice, second was an Armalite NM (no longer made) mechanical zero was my zero with FGMM.

The range I wanted to use was already taken, so I ended up zeroing off one of the 25 yard barricade event barricades on an action pistol bay.

Anyways, first three shots were in the circle on the M4 target's silhouette. I had done nothing to the front sight or the rear sight. How often does that happen?

I dropped 6 clicks on the FSB and there they were, in the circle for the 100 yard zero. I was standing, granted supported, so the 3 round patterns were nothing to brag about.

I did some pistol drills and then moved over and confirmed zero on an 8" gong at 100 yards.

Nothing special, but I was pretty surprised about the first three rounds.
Bought a vortex strike eagle and their China mount for a friend. First 3 shots at 25 yards were only about 1.5 inches left of dead on. Zeroing was quick and painless, lol
