So I now tried the Seekins lower with my DD upper, and the BCM BCG and it worked flawlessy. Cycled just fine. I then took my LMT upper, and put it on my DD lower, using both the DD BCG, and the BCM BCG, and both of them got hung up on the very first round. I now firmly believe that my LMT upper has feedramp issues. Here are some pics;

All right WW, we are getting somewhere now and I have to agree with you, feedramp blending may be necessary. If the same magazines were used in testing both uppers, it's the next logical step. I can't think of anything else it could be.

BTW, anytime I shoot my rifles, I always drop some oil on the feedramps and chambers. Maybe try the cycle test after doing that. That will give us a very clear direction. I am researching blending now, as I have never done it myself and I have similar problems in two of my rifles... a .458 Socom, and a 20" barreled AR15.

I used 3 different magazines. The Seekins lower fed the DD upper 100%. The DD lower failed to feed the LMT upper nearly every single round. This is why I am thinking the feed ramps are the real issue. I'm taking it to a gunsmith tonight.

Yet another update.

I was able to get it in to my go to gunsmith for him to take a look at it. Within a few seconds he shows me that the gas block is bent, and that is the reason the BCG is getting caught up. Also my barrel nut might be off as well. Unfortunately, he is 3 weeks out. So I have an appointment with another gunsmith Tuesday. Here's to hoping that he can easily fix it.
