I think a 551 pistol with 14" threaded barrel would be the heat. Perm attach a FH of the same spec as the 16" OAL 551 barrel and you have a title-1 rifle.
    I'd rather do a 551 LB for title 1.

That would be cool but I think the point is ATF is saying importable pistols need to have less than 16 inch barrels

ATF sucks. The first MKE 94Ps came in with a 16" barrel.

Maybe JD could order them with a 15.5 inch barrel with no attachments. Then we could thread them upon import and attach whatever device is needed.

If a large number of people are willing to kill you for saying something, then it probably really needs to be said. .

They'd still have to install 922(r) compliance parts to get the foreign part count down to ten.

These are going to be limited imports anyway. I don't see anyone producing custom barrels and whatnot. Just be glad they are coming in at all and order one if you can reasonably afford it. I personally would prefer a 16" LB but I would also prefer 20" barrel 751, doesn't matter I don't think either one is ever going to happen.

So I have a choice of how badly I want a .308 model at all. I'll probably end up with a 751 and make a really expensive SBR even though it isn't terribly practical.

I got mine a couple of weeks back. Added the SB Tactical Stock, paired to a swiss M4 folding adaptor. Because of the help here, that took about ten minutes. WOrks so well I may not Sbr it.
