What I can tell you is it looks like my b&t rail. I like it on the 553s but I prefer the handiness if the regular handguards with a single piece of rail for a light. You could use the bayonet lug fir a bipod.

16" and 20" have removeable flash hiders but the 17.9" is built into the barrel right?

Although I don't have the 551 now, I do have some older Weidmann 551 handguards (751 is Weidmann as well) and they do fit the 751 .. Ooops, reading error. That's what you just said.

sigswiss, thanks for the information on the handguards. Any idea if the pistol grips and buttstocks interchange?

I'm wondering if anyone has successfully 3D printed magazine followers and floor plates.

Pistol grips and stocks work perfectly.
Gatewood supply has them on GunBroker but suggest that they be used for range, and not duty use. I heard that the formula for SAN's polymer is undisclosed -to say the least!
A while back, I ran some Magpul and Olympic Arms followers through a table saw (w/metal cutting blade) to the same width (+/- .010) and and worked fine for me, even when bumping.
I'd bet Gatewood's would work pretty well though -for 922(r)
