As much as people poo poo it, the bad lever. It makes locking the BCG to the rear so much easier.

It also WILL CAUSE (given enough time) your AR to not function properly.

I also have to wonder how many double feeds are people seeing in their AR that they need to add the BAD lever to speed up the process? Honestly, with the invention of the Magpul anti-tilt follower, I have not seen a double feed in one of my AR's for YEARS.

I know of and have witnessed several failures to lock with the BAD Lever. In addition I have seen 2 ND's caused by people in conjunction with BAD Levers.

I think the musts for me are the following:

    (1) SOPMOD, either B5 or LMT
    (2) A good light, even though I prefer a Surefire Scout
    (3) Magpul MOE plus or MIAD
    (4) I know this is not the consensus here, and probably will be hung out to dry, but I really like the Eotech EXPS-3 over the Aimpoint. I had an Aimpoint H-1 installed on my work rifle, and I could not get used to the small window. The SFI installed an Eotech back, and I felt comfortable with it again. However, I do like the Aimpoint M-2/M-3/ PRO series. The battery life is awesome, and I shot very well with it

This is probably more of an "idea" than an accessory but Picatinny is probably one of the single most important designs or features in the last 20+ years.

    Hmm...

Scalarworks LDM mounts (once I got one, I got another, its the only RDS mount I use)
Rail scales (these are just awesome, well made and thin, I just wish they came in more colors)
Bootleg Picmod Rail (I love this thing, unique and innovative)
    Geissele Triggers (just amazing)
